Media Resources

The sources below contain useful information, resources, and findings from research sponsored by Abbott Nutrition. We conduct research and provide grants to leading pediatric and adult nutrition experts and national health, aging, and medical organizations.

Institute of Pediatric Nutrition (IPN)

The Institute of Pediatric Nutrition was established in 1994 and is comprised of some of the world's leading experts in nutrition, pediatrics, public health, and nursing. The IPN is one of the organizations in the United States dedicated solely to educating parents and health care professionals about optimal nutrition for infants and young children, which ideally begins with breastfeeding. The IPN serves as a resource for parents, health care professionals, and media on significant developments in pediatric nutrition and the health and well-being of infants.

For more information about the Institute, call the Institute's toll-free number: (800) 721-5BABY (800-721-5222).

Abbott Nutrition Mother's Survey

The Abbott Nutrition Mother's Survey, conducted since 1955, examines infant feeding patterns during the first year of life. It provides for the computation of annual statistical data on national breastfeeding patterns. The 2003 Breastfeeding Trends Report that was generated from the Abbott Nutrition Mother's Survey data has been provided in Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF).
