Preparation

• Hypo- and hypercaloric formulas should be used under the direction of a physician.
  
  
• 27 Cal/fl oz or more calorically dense formula may not supply enough water for some infants. Hydration status should be monitored and water supplied from other sources if necessary.
  
  
• For improved tolerance, it is best to increase caloric density slowly, by 2- to 4-Cal/fl oz increments.
  
  
• Ready To Feed: Do not dilute.
  
  
• Powder
  
  The following table shows the quantity of water to mix with the number of unpacked, level scoop(s) (9.6 g) of NeoSure Powder to arrive at the approximate caloric densities shown. Use only the scoop provided in the container.

  To make a larger amount of formula at standard density mixture 22 Cal/fl oz) using a standard measuring cup, add 1 unpacked, level cup (NOT the enclosed scoop) of Powder (100 g) to 21 fl oz of water. Yields approximately 24 fl oz of formula. To maintain freshness, pour prepared formula into individual feeding bottles, cap and store in refrigerator. Prepared formula should not be left unrefrigerated. Use within 24 hours.
  
  
• The contents of one 12.8-oz (363-g) can, when mixed at standard density, will yield approximately 85 fl oz of formula.
